Chris Abair started performing his grandfather's poetic ballads at senior centers and retirement homes. Word quickly spread of his powerful and emotional performances leading to a series of engagements. Since 1998, Chris has performed for appreciative audiences at: Vermont historical societies, festivals, coffee houses, schools, campgrounds, pubs and restaurants, clubs, private parties, Burlington's First Night, and public access TV.
This grassroots effort is reviving an art form lost with the advent of radio and television, while popularizing the significant works of Vermont poet George Albert Leddy.
