ELEANOR ""PAT” DUMAS EVELTI
NESCONSET, N.Y. — After a very difficult year, Eleanor ‘Pat’ Dumas
Evelti, age 87, passed away February 8, 2001 at her daughter’s home in
Nesconset, NY, peacefully in her sleep. Born January 25, 1914, in
Burlington, the daughter of William Dumas and Florence Moquin Dumas
McNall, Pat was a lifelong resident of Burlington until 1997 when her
spouse Vincent "Pickles" Evelti passed away. She is survived
by her daughter,Carole and her husband Arthur Lambert of Nesconset, NY;
and her son, James and his wife Denise of Farmington, CT. She is also
survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several
sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Many friends will remember
Pat as the mainstay at the former Hill’s Department Store on North
Avenue, where she never failed to greet you with a smile and a cheery
attitude. There was a private cremation in Long Island, NY. A funeral
service will be held Monday, February 19, 2001 at St. Mark’s Church on
North Avenue in Burlington at 11:00 a.m. with interment following. In
lieu of a wake, friends and family are encouraged to come to celebrate
remembrances of Pat with her family on Sunday, February, 18, 2001
anytime between 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express on
Shelburne Road. No flowers please.
